Yes, it's been six months since my last blog posting. No excuses really. Everyone gets busy with life as we are no exception, but still. As I oft say to my children, 'Really.' Well on to a new year and new events. The kids continue to baffle, amaze, encourage, frustrate, worry, bring joy and generally cause me to experience every emotion. It really is like a roller coaster; there's always lots of ups and downs, thrills and chills along the way. We are all home together this mild winter afternoon and after a hearty breakfast of German pancakes, bacon, hash browns and cheesy scrambled eggs, everyone has been busy doing their own thing. However, now the kids have all worked together as a team to set up the trampoline and are having a fabulous time jumping on it. Really great to see them all playing together. This is one of those happy mommy moments.
On a sad note, most of my extended family is in Rockaway celebrating the life of my recently departed Aunt Fina. Wish I could be there with everyone today, but Aunt Fina, you are in our hearts and prayers today. You lived a very full life and we were all lucky to have shared it with you. God bless you!
